Manara Education Scholarship seeks to build a long-term community of talented, ethical, and high-impact graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to Egypt’s future in Engineering, Science, Innovation, and National Development. The scholarship aims to identify, support, and develop high-potential Egyptian students pursuing undergraduate studies in Engineering with a focus on academic excellence, leadership, ethics, innovation, and long-term societal impact.

The scholarship is designed not only to provide financial support, but also to empower students through mentorship, professional development, career exposure, and a high-performance support ecosystem that prepares scholars to become future leaders in Egypt and the region.

 

Scholarship Benefits
  • The scholarship will provide financial support ranging from 80% up to 100% of the tuition fees.
  • The scholarship will provide monthly stipend to the accepted scholars.
  • The scholarship will cover university housing for out-of-town scholars.
  • The scholarshop will provide a laptop computer for each scholars as a one time support.
  • The scholarship will provide graduation project support (if applicable).
  • The scholarship will provide opportunities for mentorship and guidance, as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Egyptian student that is currently enrolled in the last year of Thanaweya Amma in public, private schools or in STEM schools in the academic year 2025-2026. 
  • Have an outstanding secondary school academic record.
  • Students must be willing to study one of the following majors at the credit hours section or as a dual degree at Ain Shams University: Material Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Automation, Communication Systems Engineering, Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering, Computer and Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Building Engineering, Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Environmental Architecture and Urbanism and Housing Architecture and Urban Development.
  • Applicants must have met the minimum admission score required for the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University (public admission track)
Required Documents
  • A recent photograph of the applicant.
  • A scanned copy of the back and the front of the applicant’s national ID.
  • A scanned copy of the back and the front of the parent or legal guardian’s ID.
  • A scanned copy of the transcripts from the applicant’s secondary school, demonstrating the applicant’s grades achieved in the first and second years of high school. The scholarship accepts either one certificate for each year or one certificate for the two years combined.
  • A transcript indicating the student’s grades in the final year of secondary education (Thanaweya Amma Certificate)
  • Financial statement(s) for the past six months for the parent’s bank/post saving accounts, loans, and such if any. 
  • IELTS certificate, if applicable
  • Scanned copies of certificates of achievement, completion, appreciation, or any other relevant extracurricular activities recognition.
Application Completion Requirements
  1. Applicants should use a computer or a laptop to complete the application. It is not preferable to use a mobile phone.
  2. The applicant should complete the application in English.
  3. All required, applicable fields should be completed in the application.
  4. All uploaded documents should be renamed by the student’s name and type of document; for example: “Tamer Kamal Fathy Amin-National ID”.
  5. All documents should be clearly scanned and uploaded to the application.
  6. Applications with incomplete documents will be disregarded.
  7. The applicant can access the application multiple times for modifications until the deadline, as long as the applicant saves the application link.
  8. All uploaded documents should be in PDF format, and all photos should be in JPG format.
  9. Applicants should make sure that they include an active email account. Email is an essential means of communication with applicants.
  10. Originals of all documents should be ready to be submitted in case requested.
  11. The application should be completed by the applicant him/herself. Applicants should not seek help with their applications. In case there is a need to seek the support of someone, the applicant should mention the reason and details in the application.
  12. Applicants cannot complete more than one application. Duplication of applications will lead to the rejection of the application. The online application is the way to submit the application and any supporting documents.
  13. Applications submitted via any other approach will be disregarded.
  14. Application deadline is August 15, 2026.
